U.N.L.V. - MAC MELPH CALIO
U.N.L.V. - Nigga I'm Bout It
U.N.L.V. - Mac Melph Calio (1995)
Another U.N.L.V. banger! With this album they sold 20,000 more than the last which means they've obviously made a name for themselves especially since they didnt sell much out of the New Orleans area. This is definitely a U.N.L.V. album! With disses to "Partners N Crime," a remix to "Eddie Bow," & constant recurrences of "6th N Barrone" lyrics. The album features, B.G., Mr. Ivan, Ms. Tee, Black Jack Of PxMxWx, Lil Slim, & Magnolia (Soulja) Slim

This has got to be my favorite album. I might even say it was better than Uptown 4 Life. I used to listen to this CD back to back forever. I still have the original cd from 95. The back cover is a little different and doesnt include the Cash Money logo.

Just bought this CD from Ebay and... DAMN it's play slowed!! Someone told me that there is defective pressing wuz back in the dayz. And wuz a normal pressing. So anyone can told me how can I figure which one is an OK, regular pressing? Is there a differense in art or barcode or something? Thanx.
ReplyDeleteYea all the original Disc versions of this that came out back in the day are all slowed down.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a chopped and screwed version of this.
Back then Cd's where new so everyone had the regular version of this on Tape.
No way can you know for shure what version of this that you are getting because Universal
Re-Released this using the Messed up copies from back in 95'.
Good Thing I have a "Regular" version.
Sucks to be you.
hey Anonymous, i think the better way for me is find a .FLAC of .WAV copy of Mac Melph Calio album, burn it on CD-R and put in a double CD-Case with my slowed version. So can you make this copy for me? We can trade. I can make a lossless copy of some of my CDs. I got a couple of NOLA OG CD's and couple of Lossless copies. I got DJ Lil' Daddy feat. Ateam, Mr.Ivan, couple UNLV albums, Tim Smooth, Ice Mike... if you interested hit me at sleem228@mail.ru
ReplyDeleteHolla!

ReplyDeleteI bought my copy when it first came out on cd and plays perfect. still have it. I got 2 cassettes too and it plays the same way.
I had no clue there was a diff version until just now.

ReplyDeleteUltimately their greatest album but a classic record period. Mannie was so ahead of his time with the production. When you talk gutter songs like 3rd ward court date pop em up no struggle no progress that's new orleans in 94 95.
ReplyDeleteA fаscinating ԁiscussion is ωοrth comment.
ReplyDeleteI dο think that yοu ought to wгitе moгe about thіs isѕuе, it may not
be a tаboo mаtter but gеneгally ρeоple ԁon't speak about such issues. To the next! Kind regards!!
